Physical Property Data Service
The Physical Property Data Service (PPDS) is a world renowned software suite used extensively in the chemical production, oil & gas, pharmaceutical, fine chemical, power generation and process industries. It allows users to perform calculations and simulations across a wide range of process and engineering applications.
PPDS is an invaluable tool, providing users with quality assured and peer reviewed data which can be utilised through all stages of the process lifecycle from design and operation to maintenance and decommissioning.
Backed by a comprehensive package of databases, PPDS includes key information on more than 1,500 chemicals, constant and variable physical properties, thermodynamic model sets and flash calculations. The software and databases have been awarded BS EN ISO 9001/TickIT accreditation. Special packages are available for petroleum fractions, aqueous solutions and refrigerants.
PPDS is simple to use. It has been designed with an extensive tabular and graphical display, handles a wide choice of units and can utilised both as a stand alone and fully networked application. The standard Windows interface provides exceptional ease of use and our Excel add-in library allows users to rapidly develop their own application templates. PPDS can also be used to link to other industry standard databases, file generators and process simulators.
PPDS can be used equally well as a bespoke application and we are happy to help clients develop the application to meet their particular needs.
PPDS key applications:
Specification and sizing of equipment
Separation calculations
Heat transfer and fluid flow
Evaluation of phase envelopes
Establishment of safety critical data
Property prediction for speciality chemicals
