Clubs, Groups and JIPs
For many years, TUV NEL facilitated Clubs, Groups and Joint Industry Projects (JIPs) have served as an ideal means to allow companies to share their strengths, resources, knowledge and experience in a manner which brings benefits to all members.
The primary aim of clubs and groups is to act as a pool of knowledge and information which members can access at any time. Well established clubs can boast a significant catalogue of technical papers which many members find invaluable. They also act as a forum to encourage networking and the exchange of ideas, to bring members up to date with legislative and technical change and for the development of research partnerships and joint industry projects (JIP's).
Joint Industry Projects offer industry a way to carry out expensive research and development but spread the costs over a number of interested parties. TUV NEL has developed an excellent reputation in initiating and managing JIP's - a task which requires intimate knowledge of the technology and industry so that competing requirements within the members of the JIP can be reconciled.
One of the key member benefits of clubs and JIPs operated by TUV NEL is the value of our independence. Since we are not linked to any product or equipment manufacturer or supplier we are able to form an unbiased view on the capabilities and performance of equipment and systems. For this reason TUV NEL is able to act on behalf of multiple clients when carrying out investigative and other work.
