Department of Trade & Industry

TUV NEL continues to work very closely with the DTI to develop and communicate programmes designed to improve efficiency, to establish and monitor standards, to develop and share best practice and to encourage innovation and the practical implementation of new technologies.

Knowledge management and the effective transfer of knowledge is a major challenge for many organisations and in particular for Government; which has a role to increase the awareness and take-up of a wide range of technologies within industry. At the heart of effective knowledge transfer is the ability to take complex, often leading-edge and technical subjects and to translate the techno-speak into readily understood language; delivered effectively to a target audience.
TUV NEL has knowledge transfer at the heart of our business and provides a range of clubs, forums and services to facilitate this goal.
Delivery can take many forms: from publications and web sites, facilitated workshops, seminars and conferences to emissions monitoring and technical consultancy.
Our team of experienced consultants all have an inherent understanding of the relevant key issues and business drivers within the public and private sectors and hold an in-depth appreciation of the UK Government's Innovation, Modernising Government and Environmental Sustainability agendas.
While our relationship with the DTI is one of close partnership, this does not diminish our focus on delivery and as a commercial organisation we remain acutely aware of our need to continue to deliver the best in every respect.
