Flow Systems
Flow measurement is vital to many industrial sectors: water supply, oil extraction, gas distribution and much of the process and pharmaceutical industry depend on flow meters for quality control, safety and equitable custody transfer.
The flow meter user is faced with a bewildering array of legislation, technology and, not least, conflicting claims from manufacturers. TUV NEL provides the user with an independent view of the various issues involved and can work collaboratively with clients on specific tasks related to the principles and practise of flow measurement.
As the custodians of the UK's National Flow Measurement Standards, TUV NEL is one of the world's leading authorities on fluid flow measurement and remains at the forefront of research in this field. Specifically we can help with:
Flow Measurement (oil, gas, wet gas, water)
Complex Fluids Flow
Multiphase Metering
Computation Fluid Dynamics Modelling
Calibration
Density
Microfluidics
TUV NEL can provide research, calibration and evaluation facilities over a wide range of flow rates, pipe sizes and fluid varieties.
TUV NEL manages the Flow Programme for the DTI which sets out to provide independent knowledge and expertise to industry. Newsletters, workshops, seminars, training courses together with best practice guides, research papers and publication abstracts are available via a dedicated
website
.
