Measurement for Innovators

The Measurement for Innovators (MFI) programme is a DTI sponsored initiative designed to assist companies in overcoming measurement problems. This is achieved by linking industry with world class expertise and facilities within TUV NEL and other providers. Three types of project are supported under the scheme.

Joint Industry Projects (JIPs)
JIPs allow TUV NEL and its industrial partners to work together to solve measurement problems associated with product or method development. Industry investment, in cash or kind, can be matched by the MFI programme.
Secondments
Secondments are designed to develop tacit knowledge and improve networking by transferring resources between TUV NEL and industry for a set time period, and with specific objectives. The MFI project will fund these placements.
Consultancy
Clients requiring advice on a measurement problem are invited to benefit from up to four days consultancy from TUV NEL. This is funded by the MFI programme.
If your company is engaged in product or process innovation, and you need to develop a measurement solution, the Measurement for Innovators programme might be able to help.
