For over 60 year’s, training and knowledge transfer has been one of NEL’s core values. In our role as a National Measurement Institute (NMI) we have a duty to ensure good measurement practices are adopted by industry.
Supported by the National Measurement System, knowledge-sharing networks - such as the Oil & Gas Focus Group and Lunch & Learns - are hugely popular and completely free to attend. Add to this our Flow Measurement Training Courses and Technical Conferences which attract delegates from all over the world and demonstrate that NEL’s commitment to good measurement practice has never been stronger.
A unique feature of writing and presenting training courses since the late 1940’s is the extensive library of material we have gathered over the years. From guidance documents to research studies, we have a comprehensive library of information that can be used to tailor a training course to suit a specific audience.
A meter manufacturer who wants to focus on specific technologies, or an international exploration and production company who wants to focus on the regulatory requirements in another part of the world, NEL can develop bespoke training packages to suit any needs.
Of course the quality of our training can only be as good as the people delivering it. That is why all our course presenters are also technical consultants, who bring with them a wealth of operational experience from the field to the classroom, ensuring all our courses have the right balance between theory and practical.
