Technical and Management Consultancy

The technical consultancy team use their wealth of knowledge and expertise to develop and help clients in all industry sectors. They are qualified and experienced at implementing improvements in energy, flow measurement, emissions and environmental systems.

Particular expertise has been developed in the oil and gas sector, environmental compliance and low carbon technologies.

Management consultancy services are delivered to key departments in UK Government as well as to private sector customers.

NEL leads research into energy and environmental challenges. This work is carried out in partnership with industrial and academic partners, public and private sector clients, in the UK and overseas.

Knowledge Transfer and Training

An exciting and challenging technical programme of knowledge transfer activities are delivered through workshops, seminars, training, exhibitions and conferences.

NEL training courses, seminars and workshops are held in many countries and industry sectors.  The events bring relevant technical expertise directly to clients, allowing their organisations to benefit from the knowledge of others.

NEL has compiled a wealth of technical resources, best practice guides, conference proceedings and case studies.

As one of the UK's National Measurement Institutes (NMIs), NEL develops and maintains part of the National Measurement System on behalf of the National Measurement Office.  Knowledge transfer activities are a key part of this work.

Our services are backed by our extensive facilities for testing, modelling and calibration.  We have unique flow measurement facilities, extensive Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) testing, a wind turbine proving site and a range of low carbon technology facilities.
