The National Measurement System (NMS) seeks input to help formulate forthcoming projects within the Engineering and Flow Programme.
This input is essential to ensure that the programme content is relevant and reflects industry and research priorities.
If you have an Engineering or Flow related measurement issue which may have significant impact on your company or industry, you should submit a proposal for consideration. If adopted, the NMS will fund research into the area to help provide an industry-wide solution.
Proposals can be submitted at any time using our industrial consultation/formulation form.
The proposals come primarily from industry and are assessed by the Programme Advisory Working Group. This group uses Technical Theme Roadmaps to ensure that proposals will contribute to the overall aims of the Engineering and Flow Programme.
Four of the roadmaps which relate to the Engineering and Flow Programme can be viewed and downloaded here:
The Roadmaps are also used to identify gaps in the current Programme and to prompt new project proposals.
Ideas for future research should be submitted making reference, where possible, to the appropriate roadmap. Please use our industrial consultation/formulation form.
