Partner Organisations

The National Measurement System (NMS) believes that partnership working can provide a strong and cost-effective service for its stakeholders.

Combining the knowledge, experience, processes and facilities of two or more organisations can often bring significant benefits.

Within the NMS, the primary partners are the National Measurement Institutes (NMI).

A stakeholder mapping system is used to track the parties which have significant interaction with the Engineering and Flow Programme. The professional and trade bodies, equipment and instrumentation manufacturers, academia, industry and other public sector departments are among the most important stakeholder groups.

The NMIs have developed partnerships with individuals, companies and organisations from these stakeholder groups. They are invited regularly to input the direction and focus of future work.
